Abstract:
This study covers the period 1974 to 2002 and includes the 84 International Foundation for Science (IFS) grantees who were working in eight research institutions throughout the country. There is an overview of science and technology in Cameroon; a retrospective analysis of IFS applications' applicants and grantees ( for 1974-2002); a questionnaire survey of IFS grantees in Cameroon and a bibliometric study of their scientific production (1974-1999); and 27 interviews with Cameroonian grantees.
