Mechanics of dispute resolution for managers of tertiary education institutions: a training manual

Abstract:
This manual complements the publication on "conflict management and resolution skills for managers of tertiary education institutions" and discusses the curative aspects of conflict management and resolution.  The volume is divided into three parts, namely Negotiation, Mediation and Dealing with the Media.  This Manual discusses, in particular, negotiation and mediation mechanisms that might be employed in dispute management, as are the various choices that may be open to the parties to a dispute. The Manual concludes with guidance on how to deal with the media during times of conflict.
