Abstract:
The Dar es Salaam Declaration on Academic Freedom and Social Responsibility of Academics was adopted by delegates from six academic staff associations at the end of the Inaugural Workshop held at Silversands Hotel, Dar es Salaam on 19th April, 1990. The associations were:
The Workshop formed a Coordinating Committee composed of all the Secretaries of the Staff Associations attending the Inaugural Workshop. The Committee was charged with assisting and monitoring the process of ratification as well as propose and plan follow-up activities.
